Five Too Faced products you’ll use till the last drop

Five Too Faced products you’ll use till the last drop,

Brace yourself because cult beauty brand Too Faced is finally available in India. Founded in the late
‘90s by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson, you have Too Faced to thank for creating the world’s
first glitter eyeshadow.  Apart from this, the brand is popular for its scandalously named, super
volumising mascaras, and pigmented eyeliners and lipsticks, and diamond powder-infused
highlighters. We chatted with the brand’s Global Beauty Director and make-up pro, Elyse Reneau
about some of her favourite products, how she likes to use them and the ones we should definitely
get our hands on

ELLE: What’s the most underrated Too Faced product?
ER: Beautiful make-up starts with hydrated skin and I love our Too Faced Hangover Primer. It has
coconut water and hyaluronic acid that preps your skin and makes it the perfect canvas for make-up.
The Too Faced Hangover Good to Go Skin Protecting SPF 25 Moisturizer is also great because there is
no flashback. On weekends, when I wear this when I don’t want to wear foundation and it looks like I
just got a facial.

ELLE: Which products would you recommend for long lasting make-up?
ER: For me, it's all about setting your make-up correctly and working in layers. The Too Faced Peach
Mist Setting Spray has microfine powders that absorb oil for up to 12 hours. The Too Faced Peach
Perfect Setting Powder is amazing too. You can either lightly dust it or leave it on for 10 minutes to
bake your make-up and make foundation bulletproof.

ELLE: Your top tip to cover pigmentation and acne.
ER: 70 per cent women deal with pigmentation and melasma at some point in their life. It’s a really
common thing and I’d recommend the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer. It’s full-coverage,
lightweight, non-comedogenic, allergen-free and non-drying. It's infused with coconut water
(hydrates skin), alpine rose (boosts skin health) and hyaluronic acid (smoothens skin) that won’t
cause breakouts. To cover up stubborn spots, leave the concealer on for 30 seconds and then tap it
into your skin (to keep it in the same spot).

ELLE: What’s your trick to applying eyeliner perfectly?
ER: One, look for a formula that is transfer-proof. Two, put your elbow on the table so you have a
steady hand. Three, don’t close your eyes when applying eyeliner. Instead, look down into the mirror
and try to get as close to your lash line as possible.

Eleyse recommends: Too Faced Better Than Sex Eyeliner, INR 1,700

ELLE: What’s your desert-island beauty pick?
ER: I have been obsessed with juicy lips and the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumper is my
go-to. It is a legacy product that launched in 2005 and in the last few years, it’s really taken on a new
life of its own. You can use it before applying lipstick, but I like to use it as a gloss because it gives my
lips a beautiful sheen. It definitely tingles when you put it on but you can see visible results.
