The official Chelsea website checks on the progress being made by some of our loan players, a reduced schedule this weekend given the high number of international fixtures taking place, as well as looking ahead to a busy week...

LOAN HIGHLIGHTS

Ike Ugbo came off the bench for the final 18 minutes of MK Dons’ goalless draw at home to Blackpool in League One on Saturday, and in the same division Todd Kane started at right-back for Oxford United yesterday in their 3-0 defeat away to Portsmouth. The home side took the lead early on before two goals in 10 second-half minutes put the game beyond the visitors. It was Oxford's first game under the stewardship of new manager Karl Robinson.

Bradley Collins played the full game, and kept a clean sheet, as Forest Green Rovers secured a 2-0 win at home to Mansfield Town in League Two on Saturday. Both goals arrived in the second half and the visitors’ misery was compounded when they were reduced to 10 men late in the game as Krystian Pearce was sent off.

Jared Thompson also kept a clean sheet for Chippenham Town in their 2-0 win away at East Thurrock United in the National League, while it was a disappointing afternoon for Nathan Baxter who started in goal for Woking as they were beaten 3-0 at Leyton Orient.

In Ireland, Mitchell Beeney was an unused substitute for Sligo Rovers who suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Dundalk.

THE WEEK AHEAD

A big week of action at the club begins on Wednesday when Chelsea Ladies, with a 2-0 advantage, play the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Montpellier. Kick-off at Kingsmeadow is 7.05pm, and tickets are available by clicking here.

Tickets will go off sale online on Wednesday at 2pm. Tickets will be available at the turnstiles for cash payments only 90 minutes prior to kick-off, subject to availability.

On Saturday, our development squad are back in action with a PL2 away game at Derby County which kicks off at 1pm.

Then on Sunday it’s a big London derby for Antonio Conte’s team who entertain Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge. That game kicks off at 4pm and the Blues boss will be looking ahead to the fixture on Friday at Cobham.

Live updates from both of those games will be available via our official Twitter feed @chelseafc.
